Services

The Wholesome Kitchen offers one-to-one and small group coaching on how to purchase and prepare whole, organic, vegan and macrobiotic foods right in your own kitchen. With over 15 years studying and cooking unrefined foods, we have the expertise needed to help you make practical changes to your diet and get the results you want. We know from first hand experience that food is powerful stuff. Transform your kitchen into a Wholesome Kitchen and watch what happens.

We offer 3 packages:

#1 – The Wholesome Basics

If your diet consists of take-out/restaurant food, or your idea of a home-cooked meal is pressing buttons on a microwave, this is where you should begin. The Basics covers the simple philosophy and concepts of eating whole foods. Learn what to eat, what to avoid, and some sure-fire lifestyle changes that will change your life.

The Basics consists of one 2-hour meeting with take-home literature and one 15-minute follow-up phone discussion.

Contact us for more details.

#2 – The Intermediate

Best for someone who isn’t a total newbie in eating and cooking whole foods. We will still cover The Wholesome Basics (one 2-hour meeting) and in addition you will receive:

  • One personal hands-on cooking class (4 hours) in our New Haven kitchen with written recipes.
  • One additional dinner menu with recipes to try at home.
  • Weekly 15-minute follow-up phone discussions for 4 weeks.

# 3 – The Life Changer 30-Day Plan

The plan for someone who is ready to go all-out, no-messing-around, both feet in commitment . . . and we hold your hand while you do it. This program is also best for those who are working with a holistic health professional (macrobiotic counselor, naturopathic physician, etc.) to incorporate what their health professional recommends. Best of all, no need to take time off from work to attend far away programs or workshops. We come to you and work within your schedule. The 30-Day Life Changer consists of:

  • Two full-day intensives (8 hours each day).
Day One: A tour of your kitchen and a fun-filled shopping trip where you will be shown how to navigate through natural food stores, grocery stores, and ethnic markets to get what you need for the best prices. We will also assess and shop for any tools you need (proper cookware, cutlery, cutting boards, etc.). Any foods or tools you purchase are not included in the program cost.
Day Two: we spend cooking in your kitchen using your newly acquired food and tools. These two days are done together (i.e. Saturday and Sunday, or Tuesday and Wednesday, etc.).
  • A personal cooking class (2-3 hours) every week for 3 weeks after the two-day intensive. Additional 1.5 hour visit to your home every week for 4 weeks (including the two-day intensive week) to assist in meal planning and food prep. Monday – Friday phone check-ins (up to 15 minutes each, as needed) for 4 weeks.
